Oh, and why the Kai? Well, this design all started when three quarters of the Star & Co team were in Portugal, brainstorming ideas for a new ring that would suit Ellie's partner, Kai. He really wanted to see a chunky signet style ring in our collection that also incorporated the spinning movement he craved...we simply couldn't name this ring anything else!

Care Instructions

Our jewellery collection contains pieces that are both adjustable and non-adjustable. Due to the nature of our designs, our manufacturing team use a method called electric welding in order to create the moving parts in each piece. This process can create weak points that are not visible to the eye, and which are not intended to be adjusted or bent. If your piece states that it is non-adjustable, please do take our word for it, we’ve tested it already and found out the hard way! If you have any doubt, please just ask us, we're always happy to help you.

In order for our jewellery to be accessible to as many people as possible, we’ve opted to use materials that help keep our price affordable for everyone. These materials are less expensive, but by no means offer any less quality. For example, instead of using gold, we have used high quality bronze to achieve the same finish and colour. Like all reactive metals, the silver and bronze used in our designs can be prone to tarnish, especially when unused for a period of time. To keep your jewellery at its best, our advice is to closely follow the care instructions provided with your jewellery, or they can be found by clicking below.

Individual skin reactions to bronze and silver can vary. Some people are prone to a greenish tinge on their skin from wearing these metals. It is the result of a harmless chemical reaction between the metal and your skin, usually accelerated by heat, moisture and skin products. If this happens to be you, it should disappear after one day without wearing your jewellery, or faster with a bit of makeup remover.

The movement in our jewellery has been created with durability in mind, though care must be taken with the moving parts. Dust, dirt and sand can cause the movement to become restricted, and forceful use or heavy impact can be damaging to the way the designs work. Please bare this in mind when wearing your jewellery in certain environments, such as the beach or in the gym.
